Ashton, a self-confessed addict of Twitter, may as well be considered a modern-day, techie Romeo, utilizing social networking sites like Twitter to woo Demi Moore over and over. In fact, he wrote an essay for Harper’s Bazaar’s January issue, on his fondness for flirting on the Web.

The thirty-two year old actor writes that sending sweet messages over on Facebook and posting affectionate words on Twitter can be a lot of fun, because it’s not typical. He compared the act of online flirting to sending flowers at a girl’s office. Everyone sees and the girl is wooed and adored publicly, and everyone likes that, he thinks.

So, is he all for the great big Web? Ashton Kutcher, in his online essay, did give out a warning: Anything posted on the web gets seen by everyone – there are some things you post, and can’t hide from people. It’ll be all over. Kutcher has posted revealing pictures of his 48-year old wife online.

The actor entitled his essay “Has Texting Killed Romance?”, stated that professing love on the Web should never substitute personal, more old-fashioned ways of showing affection. According to the star, no amount of text can replace a person when he or she is needed by that special someone, and that a loving touch, not text, is the only thing that will work for a anyone who’s hurting or sad.

Troubled star Lindsay Lohan is finally out of jail early. Lohan served only 14 days out of her 90 day sentence and is now required to go on a three month stay in a rehab facility.

The actress was released a little after midnight on Sunday and was whisked off to an unnamed rehab facility. Lohan did not walk out of the front entrance and was instead loaded into vehicle inside the jail and taken away. According to paparazzi reports a van with a police escort arrived at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. In previous celebrity incarcerations, the stars have walked out to meet the waiting paparazzi after their release. Paris Hilton in particular was very accommodating of everyone there after her and spoke with the media and high fived the guards outside the Los Angeles Century Regional Detention Facility. The facility has also held Michelle Rodriguez who carried out only 18 days of her 180 day sentence.

Those who are held for non-violent crimes have their sentences reduced significantly, due to their good behavior as well as overcrowding issues. She was arrested for the first time in 2007 when she crashed her car; she was arrested two month later for cocaine possession as well as driving under the influence of alcohol. Despite the setback Lohan is still doing well in her career; she stars in Robert Rodriguez’s “Machete” and in the biopic of porn star Linda Lovelace. Lohan also released a new line of clothing while she was in jail.

Disney is on the verge of green lighting a Muppets movie and is anxious to get things right. In this regard, they are going the same way they went with the upcoming release of “Tron Legacy” and have enlisted the help of Pixar.

Pixar has an exemplary record when comes to movie releases. Every single movie has been nothing short of financial success. Even rarely, every movie has been found favorable by all critics. In the case of “Muppets“, Disney called on part of Pixar’s “Brain Trust”. Pixar president Ed Catmull and filmmakers Michael Arndt, Brad Bird, Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter, Bob Peterson and John Lasseter made themselves available for the consultation. Muppets director James Bobin, producers Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman and the movie’s lead star Jason Segel participated from Disney’s side.

The reach out to Pixar may be viewed as a sign of desperation or brilliance, but whichever it is it happens to be the right one. Recently, Disney movies have had a rough time at cinemas with “Prince of Persia” and the nesest release “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” not delivering to expectations. Actress Lindsay Loahn will be spending several weeks of jail time as her punishment in violation of her probation for DUI. The said facility where she will be locked in is located far away from Hollywood – inside a commonplace two storey structure which stands next to a busy road inside an industrial area. The actress is to start her sentence on July 20 at the unwelcoming 16-year old prison in Lynwood California called the Century Regional Detention Facility located downtown southern Los Angeles. Lohan is said to be housed inside the 2,200-bed structure’s special needs area, where she is to live alone for her well-being.

Because of jail overcrowding and the program that gives credit to the inmates for their good behavior, nonviolent female law offenders such as Lindsay Lohan would usually serve about 25% of their sentenced jail time according to Steve Whitmore, spokesman for the Los Angeles’ County Sheriff Department. This would mean that Lohan’s 90-day jail time could be cut to approximately 3 weeks, which is actually the time for the advance screening of the movie “Machete”, which opens September 3 wherein Lohan plays as nun. This is not the first time that the actress has been to jail. It can be recalled when Lohan spent 84 minutes of lockup in this same facility in 2007 for the same crime – DUI.

The sentence was reduced from the original one day lockup period due to jail overcrowding. During the sentence, she was fingerprinted, searched and locked in bars but the officials have allowed her to keep her street clothes on.
